We are looking for a Receptionist to support daily front office operations for a nonprofit environment. This contract position is ideal for someone who can create a welcoming experience for visitors while assisting families, staff, and community members. The role combines reception support, scheduling, document assistance.
Job Responsibility
Welcome families, staff, and guests in the front office and provide helpful assistance with questions or directions
Manage incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, route messages appropriately, and respond to routine inquiries
Arrange appointments, coordinate calendars, and organize visits for community partners, business representatives, and other guests
Complete administrative support tasks including filing, faxing, scanning, data entry, and preparation of routine documents
Share information about helpful local services and community-based resources with families when appropriate
Prepare letters, forms, and other office documents
Requirements
Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative support role
Confidence handling inbound calls and operating a multi-line telephone system
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage appointments, documents, and multiple priorities
Proficiency with basic computer tasks, including data entry, scanning, filing, and general office software
Detail-oriented communication skills and a customer-focused approach when interacting with families, staff, and visitors
