Receptionist - National Probation Service. Hours: Full-time, with occasional late shifts (up to 9pm) every week. Job Responsibility:
Serving as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff via in-person, telephone, and email interactions
Managing visitor processes, including logging arrivals/departures, issuing passes, and coordinating security procedures
Handling reception enquiries with a friendly, customer-focused approach
Overseeing building logistics: managing mail, supplies, deliveries, and room bookings
Supporting meetings and events by setting up rooms, managing equipment, and registering attendees
Administering travel expenses, petty cash, and transporting funds between sites
Ensuring building safety through fire alarm tests, CCTV monitoring, and acting as Fire Warden or First Aider when needed
Reporting faults, maintaining repair logs, and escalating urgent issues
Responding calmly to challenging situations, involving security or management when necessary
Covering late-night shifts (up to 9pm) approximately once every week
Requirements:

basic knowledge of building safety procedures and security protocols

previous experience in reception, customer service, or administrative roles
