We are looking for a detail-oriented and personable Receptionist to join our client's team (tech industry) on a contract basis in San Diego, California. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a welcoming and organized office environment. Job Responsibility:
Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls to the appropriate departments or individuals
Welcome and assist visitors with a friendly and detail-oriented approach
Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for office activities
Coordinate and arrange lunches or refreshments for meetings and events
Handle email correspondence, responding promptly and courteously to inquiries
Perform data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Organize and maintain physical and digital files for easy access
Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, to complete daily tasks
Support general office operations and provide assistance to team members as needed
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist or similar administrative role
Proficiency in managing a multi-line phone system
Strong customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and courtesy
Competence in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
Familiarity with scheduling and maintaining appointment calendars
