We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Receptionist to join our team on a contract basis in West Los Angeles. This role will involve managing front desk operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day communication within the office. The assignment is expected to last one to two months and offers regular weekday hours with weekends off. This is a non-profit organization that deal with foster youth. This role is on-site daily.
Job Responsibility:
Operate and manage a switchboard system handling 1 to 10 phone lines efficiently
Greet and direct visitors, ensuring they receive a warm and attentive welcome
Handle incoming and outgoing calls, providing accurate information and routing calls appropriately
Manage scheduling and appointments for various departments as needed
Maintain a tidy and organized reception area to uphold the company’s high standards
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely communication and task completion
Monitor and approve timesheets in accordance with company procedures
Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing and data entry, to support office operations
Uphold health and safety protocols, including compliance with vaccination requirements
Requirements:
Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role is required
Proficiency in operating a switchboard with multiple phone lines
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with basic administrative tasks such as scheduling and data entry
Detail-oriented demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
Must be fully vaccinated, including a booster dose
Availability to work Monday through Friday during standard office hours
