We are looking for a welcoming and organized Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations in Stamford, Connecticut. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping visitors, managing appointments, and keeping office communications running smoothly. The person in this role will serve as a key point of contact for guests and staff while maintaining a detail-oriented and efficient reception area.
Job Responsibility
Welcome visitors, clients, and employees in a courteous manner and direct them to the appropriate person or department
Manage incoming calls, transfer messages accurately, and respond to routine front-desk inquiries courteously
Coordinate and maintain appointment schedules to help ensure meetings and visits are organized effectively
Keep the reception area tidy, presentable, and prepared to support a positive office experience
Assist with general administrative tasks such as handling correspondence, distributing mail, and updating basic office records
Provide customer service support by answering questions and addressing requests promptly and respectfully
Requirements
Ability to deliver friendly and attentive customer service in a front-desk environment
Experience or demonstrated ability to schedule appointments and manage calendars accurately
Knowledge of standard receptionist responsibilities, including greeting visitors and handling phone communications
Strong verbal communication skills and a courteous, detail-oriented demeanor
