We are looking for an attentive and customer-focused Receptionist to join a local non-profit organization in South San Francisco, California. This is a contract position where you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for visitors and residents. As part of the weekend graveyard shift, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth front desk operations while maintaining professionalism and adherence to facility protocols. The shifts are Fridays 11:30pm into Saturday at 7:00am and Saturdays 11:30pm into Sundays 7:00am (16 hours).
Job Responsibility:
Manage front desk operations, including welcoming visitors and conducting temperature checks
Process incoming and outgoing packages efficiently and accurately
Distribute mail to appropriate recipients in a timely manner
Assist clients with accessing medication and other essential needs
Restock supplies in common areas to ensure availability for residents
Conduct check-ins and check-outs for clients as required
Perform facility rounds, both indoors and outdoors, to ensure safety and compliance
Enforce facility rules and issue notices when necessary
Coordinate food deliveries and donations, ensuring proper handling and distribution
Requirements:
At least one year of experience in administrative or customer service roles
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
High attention to detail and accuracy in all responsibilities
Capability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Comfortable performing physical tasks such as handling deliveries or conducting rounds
