Our NPS client requires a receptionist to join the busy team on a temporary basis. This role will offer a great opportunity to work within the Probation Service and gain experience within the Public Sector.
Job Responsibility:
Administrative duties as well as answering phone queries, dealing with incoming and outgoing post
General reception duties, door access, signing in/out of visitors, directing of visitors within the building, booking of rooms, stationary orders
Printing of letters, handling of petty cash, the issuing travel warrants
Liaising with staff and other probation users with professionalism
Recording of alarm testing
Acting as first point of contact for visiting facility types
Demonstrate a commitment to equality and inclusion and an understanding of their relevance to the work they do
Requirements:
Good strong admin/reception experience
Good working knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, outlook and Teams
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to remain professional at all time and converse with a variety of service users
Excellent organisational skills and experience of working in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking
Nice to have:
Confident, outgoing, enjoy interacting with a variety of service users with professionalism and have a calm demeanour
Excellent customer service skills and a passion to help people
