Robert Half is looking for some seasonal reception coverage for a busy tax office in North Kansas City/Riverside. This receptionist role will be responsible for answering phones, greeting clients and guests and handling data entry. Operating Hours are Monday-Friday 9am-6pm; shift would most likely by 9am-3pm, Monday-Friday. Could possibly work SOME Saturday's. About 30ish hours a week. The receptionist candidate must be able to complete the assignment dates of January 26th-April 15th.
Job Responsibility:
Greet and assist visitors and clients in a courteous and detail-oriented manner
Answer and direct incoming phone calls efficiently to the appropriate departments
Maintain accurate records and manage the scheduling of appointments
Perform basic office duties, such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents
Utilize Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel to create and update files and spreadsheets
Ensure the reception area is clean and organized at all times
Collaborate with team members to support administrative tasks and operational needs
Handle inquiries and provide information about company services
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
Assist with other clerical duties as assigned to support the team
Answering phones
Greeting clients and guests
Handling data entry
Requirements:
Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role
Proficiency in Word and Excel for document and data management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy
Basic office skills, including filing and organizing
High level of professionalism and courtesy
Availability to work Monday-Friday shifts, with alternating Saturdays as needed
At least 2 years' experience in a receptionist role
Nice to have:
Having some tax experience is a plus
