We are looking for a personable and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team on a contract basis in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring smooth communication and operations within the office. The ideal candidate will be organized, friendly, and able to confidently manage a multi-line phone system while delivering exceptional customer service.
Job Responsibility:
Greet and assist visitors with a detail-oriented and welcoming demeanor
Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, ensuring calls are directed appropriately
Handle inbound calls promptly and efficiently, providing accurate information or routing them as needed
Maintain the reception area to ensure it is clean, organized, and presentable
Support administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments or managing correspondence
Manage switchboard operations for handling multiple phone lines simultaneously
Provide part-time reception coverage while ensuring seamless office operations
Collaborate with team members to address inquiries and provide solutions
Uphold company policies and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Requirements:
Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar front desk role
Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and switchboards
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Friendly and detail-oriented demeanor with excellent customer service skills
Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software
High level of organization and attention to detail
Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility as needed
