We are looking for an experienced and dependable Receptionist to support day-to-day front desk operations for a real estate and property organization in Stamford, Connecticut. This Contract position will serve as a key point of contact for visitors, tenants, clients, and internal team members, helping create a welcoming and organized office environment. The ideal candidate brings strong customer service skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks with efficiency.
Job Responsibility
Welcome guests, tenants, and vendors while ensuring a positive and attentive first impression at the front desk
Answer and direct incoming calls, respond to general inquiries, and route messages to the appropriate departments in a timely manner
Coordinate visitor check-in procedures, maintain lobby presentation, and support daily office flow
Assist with scheduling, meeting room coordination, and other administrative tasks that keep operations running smoothly
Receive, sort, and distribute mail, deliveries, and courier packages accurately and efficiently
Maintain organized records, update basic office logs, and provide clerical support to on-site teams as needed
Communicate courteously with internal staff and external contacts to help resolve routine questions and service needs
Requirements
Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer-facing administrative role
Strong customer service skills with a detail-oriented and approachable demeanor
Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals
Ability to stay organized, manage competing priorities, and maintain attention to detail in a busy office setting
Comfort using standard office technology, including phone systems, email, and common administrative software
Reliable work habits and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
