We are looking for a detail-oriented and personable Receptionist to support front-desk operations for a Contract position based in New York, New York. The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for visitors and callers while helping ensure smooth administrative support throughout the day.
Job Responsibility:
Welcome guests and direct them appropriately, creating a positive and welcoming first impression for the office
Manage a multi-line phone system by answering, screening, and routing incoming calls efficiently and courteously
Handle front-desk coverage during scheduled part-time hours and maintain an organized reception area
Respond to general inquiries from callers and visitors, providing accurate information or forwarding requests to the right team members
Monitor daily reception activities to help maintain smooth communication flow across the office
Support basic administrative tasks associated with front-desk operations as needed
Maintain a courteous and organized approach when handling a high volume of inbound calls and visitor interactions
Requirements:
Prior experience performing receptionist or front-desk support duties in a detail-oriented setting
Ability to operate a multi-line or switchboard phone system with confidence and accuracy
Experience answering and routing inbound calls while maintaining excellent customer service
Strong verbal communication skills and a detail-oriented, courteous demeanor
Comfortable working in a part-time schedule arrangement
Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and remain composed in a busy reception environment
