This Receptionist role serves as the company's first impression and voice, playing a pivotal role in managing the flow of visitors and communications. As a Receptionist within Randstad Professionals' Business Administration sector, you will be the office's gatekeeper and the central point of communications. Your expertise in Customer Relations will ensure a positive experience for every person who interacts with the department store, whether they are customers, suppliers, or employees. The majority of administrative and communication tasks will be performed in French. However, given Montreal's business environment, an intermediate level of English is desired for the occasional management of calls or visits from outside Quebec. Job Responsibility

  • Welcoming and directing visitors and clients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Managing the switchboard, screening incoming calls, and transferring communications
  • Receiving, sorting, and distributing mail, packages, and deliveries
  • Managing and coordinating meeting rooms, including booking and logistical preparation
  • Performing various administrative and office support tasks for the team (filing, photocopying, data entry, etc.)
  • Maintaining the order and cleanliness of the reception area and common areas
  • Assisting with the coordination of office supplies inventory and placing orders
  • Managing general emails and responding to basic information requests

Requirements

  • Fluency in French (spoken and written)
  • Intermediate level of English (desired for occasional interactions outside Quebec)
  • Proven experience as a Receptionist or in a similar hospitality/administrative role
  • Excellent Client Relations and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills, thoroughness, and attention to detail
  • Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Autonomy and proactivity in the execution of administrative tasks
