We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for a construction and contractor organization in Indianapolis, Indiana. Job Responsibility
Welcome visitors, clients, and vendors in a courteous manner and ensure they are directed to the appropriate contacts or meeting areas
Manage a multi-line switchboard by answering, screening, and routing incoming calls promptly while taking accurate messages when needed
Maintain an orderly front office by overseeing general reception activities and helping create a positive first impression for the organization
Provide administrative support through routine office tasks such as preparing documents, updating records, and assisting with correspondence
Use Microsoft Word and Excel to create, edit, and organize basic business documents, logs, and reports
Assist with printed and visual materials by making basic updates or edits using Adobe InDesign when requested
Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and other front-desk communications to support daily office operations
Requirements
Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk, or office support role
Working knowledge of basic office procedures and general administrative practices
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for everyday office tasks
Experience operating a switchboard or multi-line phone system with 10 to 30 lines
Familiarity with Adobe InDesign for simple document or layout updates
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented and customer-focused approach
Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accuracy in a busy office setting
