We are looking for an experienced and dependable Receptionist to support daily front office operations for an engineering-focused organization in Pennsylvania. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is fully onsite and offers the chance to become a key point of contact for visitors, callers, and internal staff. The ideal candidate brings prior administrative or reception experience, strong organizational skills, and confidence using Microsoft Word and Excel in a fast-paced office setting.
Job Responsibility
Welcome guests and direct them appropriately while maintaining a detail-oriented and organized front desk environment
Answer incoming calls, record detailed and accurate messages, and route communications to the correct team members
Prepare routine correspondence and complete general typing tasks with a high level of accuracy
Organize, file, and retrieve documents to support efficient day-to-day office operations
Process incoming and outgoing mail, distribute materials, and assist with basic office support activities
Perform data entry and document updates using standard office software and internal records
Support clerical tasks such as copying, faxing, and editing documents as needed
Assist with additional administrative duties assigned to help keep the office running smoothly
Requirements
Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or general administrative support role
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, email, and other standard office tools
Strong attention to detail, especially when taking messages and entering information accurately
Ability to manage filing, document handling, and routine clerical responsibilities efficiently
Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach
Comfortable working in an onsite office environment Monday through Friday
Ability to handle multiple tasks, stay organized, and respond well to changing daily priorities
