We are urgently seeking an enthusiastic front desk agent. In this versatile role, you are the central link on the work floor, perfectly balancing front-office hospitality with essential back-office administration. As the primary point of contact and the true face of the company, your overall purpose is to welcome all guests, instantly making them feel at ease, while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operational flow of the front desk.
Job Responsibility
Front Desk: Welcoming guests, processing check-ins and check-outs, assigning rooms, and activating room keys
Service & Coordination: Responding to guest inquiries, providing information, and collaborating closely with Housekeeping
Administration: Handling phone calls and emails, following up on complaints, and maintaining documentation
Finance: Processing payments, verifying invoices, and managing the cash float (start/end of shift)
Safety & Quality: Monitoring access, staying alert to security, and working in accordance with internal quality standards and dress codes
Requirements
Language Skills: a fluent knowledge of French is crucial. Fluent English is mandatory (both spoken and written using clear, professional language). An operational knowledge of Dutch is a great asset
Experience & Hard Skills: proven experience in the hospitality sector, hospitality management, or a similar front-office environment. Hands-on experience with the POS (Opera) reservation/property management system is required, along with proficiency in computer applications and telephone switchboard operations
Soft Skills: excellent communication and listening skills, high stress resistance, and a hands-on mentality. Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and support the team to reach common goals
