Job Responsibility:
Teach Reception and Year 1 pupils full time from April 2026
Deliver engaging lessons using provided planning frameworks when available
Support early literacy, numeracy, phonics, and play‑based and structured learning
Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour
Adapt teaching approaches to support mixed‑age and mixed‑ability learning
Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Work collaboratively with EYFS and KS1 colleagues to maintain strong practice
Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with EYFS and KS1 experience
Confident teaching mixed Reception/Year 1 groups
Strong understanding of early childhood development and phonics instruction
Effective communication, organisation, and behaviour management
Nurturing, proactive, and committed to high‑quality early learning
Able to support varied learning needs, including SEND
Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting child well‑being
