Take the lead in delivering outstanding learning experiences in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy, ensuring exceptional standards while overseeing and assessing activity within a dynamic salon reception setting.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee and support student training and assessment, ensuring consistently high standards and accountability for the quality of learner work
Deliver engaging teaching across Hairdressing and/or Beauty Therapy programmes, supporting effective curriculum delivery and learner success
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documentation in line with organisational and awarding body requirements
Participate in regular programme meetings and briefings, contributing to continuous improvement and curriculum development
Complete and manage awarding body documentation, ensuring full compliance with required procedures and quality standards
Actively contribute to the promotion and marketing of programmes, supporting recruitment and the profile of the department
Requirements:
Demonstrable current experience of working in the Hairdressing/Beauty industry
Experience of training and assessing groups of learner
An understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to creating a safe learning environment
An awareness of the importance of Equality & Diversity
Good communication skills with ability to work effectively with employers, academic and support staff
Ability to work flexible hours as required to carry out workplace visits and training on site
Good IT skills
Demonstrate good organisational skills
Flexible working pattern to meet employer needs
L3 hairdressing/Beauty therapy
Assessors qualification
PTTLS or equivalent
Good standard of general education indicated through GCSE grades A*-C or the equivalent including Maths and English
