Job Description

We are working with a welcoming and supportive partner primary school in Oldham that is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Reception Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis from September. This is a morning-only role, with teaching hours from 8:30am to 12:00pm, followed by PPA time from 12:00pm to 12:30pm each day.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Reception
  • Create a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Assess children’s progress and adapt learning to meet individual needs
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Support children’s development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Requirements

  • Has a strong background in Early Years
  • Has an excellent understanding of the EYFS Framework and early childhood development
  • Is confident in planning and delivering creative, child-centred learning
  • Has excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Builds strong, positive relationships with children and encourages a love of learning
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Clear Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
