Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school community in Cornwall. This role is integral to supporting our pupils' development and ensuring that every child receives personalised and inclusive education in line with our ethos of nurturing confident, curious, and well-rounded learners. The successful candidate will work mornings only, Monday to Wednesday, within our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping to create a warm and stimulating environment where children can thrive. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the early years experience, aligning with our school's values of respect, kindness, and a love of learning. The role commences at the start of the academic term and continues on a part-time basis.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide individualised support to EYFS pupils
  • assisting with their personal, social, and academic development
  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality, engaging activities
  • Assist with the supervision and care of children during classroom activities
  • Support pupils with specific learning needs, implementing personalised strategies to aid their progress
  • Help facilitate classroom organisation and resource management
  • Foster positive behaviour and social interaction among pupils
  • Contribute to the overall well-being of children by providing emotional and behavioural support as required
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff members to monitor and record pupil progress
  • Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding and promote the welfare of all pupils at all times
