Job Description

Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.

Job Responsibility

  • Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift
  • Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped
  • Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment
  • Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in receiving, storing and distributing of metals and purchased parts
  • Examines material inventory and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines
  • Assist with and perform other material handling duties and work in other areas as needed
  • Follows all company and facility policies including quality, safety, conduct and attendance

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to read and understand English
  • Must be willing to work overtime and be flexible with schedule changes
  • 2-4 years of Warehouse/Shipping/Receiving experience preferred (i.e. pulling parts, transactions, etc.)
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

  • Secure trailer while loading by blocking and locking out
  • Load raw materials and production supplies into trailers and box trucks
  • Pre-Op the forklift and change out batteries (if required)
  • Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
  • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
  • Learn, understand, and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
