In this role, you ensure the quality and compliance of incoming supplier materials by performing precise inspections using a variety of measurement tools and gauges. You expertly interpret engineering blueprints and specifications to verify that products meet required standards.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure the quality and compliance of incoming supplier materials by performing precise inspections using a variety of measurement tools and gauges
Interpret engineering blueprints and specifications to verify that products meet required standards
Accurately document inspection results in the on-line MIS system
Perform multi-vary studies by using a wide assortment of gauging and equipment
Coordinate and support Manufacturing, Engineering, QA and Supply Management in addition to communicating with suppliers to ensure all quality requirements are met or exceeded
Participate in team activities and problem solving sessions as required
Communicate problems and/or solutions to appropriate team member
As needed, document and/or chart production data to aid in problem identification, quality feedback and production scheduling
Evaluate defective material and tooling, faulty operations, questionable conditions and potential work stoppages
Advise and recommend alternatives to appropriate team member
Ensure that work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, orderly and safe condition
Follow prescribed safety regulations
Requirements:
Must pass Inspector I test
High School Diploma or (GED) General Education Degree (applies to anyone hired after 1997)
Must be proficient in the use of multi-dimensional testing and gauging equipment to include optical comparators, computerized vision measuring systems, electronic test equipment in addition to any other manual precision gauges
Must be proficient in the use of Intergraph, CAD and Telnet systems for viewing and plotting current blueprint and procedure cards
Must be able to identify problems, formulate solutions and implement necessary changes as required
Must have basic knowledge of GMP’s, SOP’s and FDA requirements
Must follow processes and procedures as written
