The forklift receiver’s responsibilities include assisting with the unloading / loading of products. This is a fast-paced position with constant flow of materials, attention to details required.
Job Responsibility:
Unloads incoming product from vendors
Checks product to ensure received correct product
Put away materials in appropriate locations
Verifies materials received to the invoice or bill of lading
Give paperwork to receiving clerk once checked
Gathers material transfer requests for OB shipments
Execute directives provided for organizing all materials in warehouse
Confirm material movements are in process, assist in locating materials
Requirements:
Forklift knowledge and safety procedures
Excellent knowledge of all raw material component, location of all materials in main warehouse and offsite warehouse and quantities per location
Ability to read, complete, and process all receiving paperwork and transfers
Read tape measure 1/32"
Forklift operating skills to load/unload, lift, move, place, stack raw materials, navigate throughout the plant and warehouse
Perform visual quality checks, warehousing, and kanban systems
Strong organizational skills required
High level of responsibility, first and final check of all inbound material (quantities and quality), works with little to no supervision
Makes decisions independently and self-motivated
Strong communication skills
Able to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format
Able to work in a team environment, good interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change
Good hand/eye coordination
Responsible for the layout and clean operation of the warehouse
Excellent and constant communication skills needed, regular communication with receiving clerk, employees, and truck drivers
Able to understand English preferred but not required
Ability to read and write
