Job Description:

Receives merchandise as described on purchase orders and carrier-generated freight bills, operates an RF unit to check in merchandise and positions pallets to arrive to their next destination. Position at CVS Health's brand-new bulk distribution center in Jersey City.

Job Responsibility:

Receives merchandise as described on purchase orders and carrier-generated freight bills
Operates an RF unit to check in merchandise
Positions pallets to arrive to their next destination
Conducts routine technical support tasks for the Distribution area
Gathers feedback from employees across the company
Inspects all merchandise, ensuring all receiving standards are met including UPC code, case pack, item description, and product/pallets are stable
Matches purchase orders to freight bills and merchandise being received
Completes receipts for vendor compliance and final preparation of merchandise stacked on pallets for storage/movement within the facility
Checks in merchandise from assigned receiving doors

Requirements:

Ability to walk, stand, pull, climb, bend, reach, and stoop for an extended period of time
Occasional medium lifting requirements (0-20 lbs.) and an occasional heavy lifting requirement (up to 75 lbs.)
Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to read, write, and count accurately
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally
Basic computer skills
Basic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to be a collaborator who is comfortable working in a team-based environment
Ability to work with different levels of colleagues with focus on customer service
Ability to act competently in emergencies
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to work safely with and around operating mechanical systems
Ability to work a flexible schedule or overtime as required, to include shift rotation
Ability to maintain predictable and reliable attendance
Has a sense of organization and cleanliness regarding work area
0-1 year of work experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
