Job Responsibility:
Receive and verify incoming goods against packing slips, bills of lading, or other documentation, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality
Record shortages, reject damaged goods, and immediately report discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor
Unload incoming shipments safely and efficiently, utilizing manual lifting techniques or equipment such as forklifts when necessary
Unpack and route goods to their appropriate storage locations or bins within the warehouse to maintain optimal organization
Maintain accurate internal record-keeping systems to track inventory levels and movements within the manufacturing & logistics facility
Investigate and resolve issues regarding missing, damaged, or lost company and customer goods
Pick parts orders for internal jobs to ensure production departments have the required materials on time
Update and maintain the open Purchase Order (PO) list to ensure data integrity
Support the shipping department by helping to coordinate and book freight shipments with carriers and logistics providers
Assist in assembling packages and crates, packing goods for shipment, and picking parts for external orders
Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in compliance with safety regulations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations between receiving, production, and shipping
Requirements:
Proficient computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) for documentation and communication
Experience with inventory management software or accounting software like QuickBooks is considered a strong asset
Forklift experience is mandatory (Class 1,4,5)
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
Strong problem-solving abilities to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or shipping issues
Superior customer service skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with drivers, suppliers, and internal team members
High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in verifying BOMs and shipping documents
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively as part of a manufacturing & logistics team
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure clear instructions and safety compliance
Adaptability and flexibility to shift focus between receiving duties and supporting shipping operations as needed
