Receiver

• Ensures that all deliveries are being managed in a prompt and courteous manner
• Ensures that all shipments received are complete and match the accompanying receiving documents for product quality, best before dates, etc.
• Ensures invoices are logged in the receiving log
• Ensures invoices are sent to head office in a timely manner
• Assists in unloading deliveries
• Follows rotation First in and First out of all products in the coolers, freezer and shelving
• Responsible for the organization and stock of the freezer(s) with the assistance of the Department Head
• Communicates with Department Heads to ensure proper product availability
• Prepares returns and credits for merchandise returned to suppliers or the warehouse
• Prepares transfers of product to other stores as directed by the Store Manager
• Orders and manages supply stock for the Store
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the Receiving area
• Assists in various departments as needed
• All other duties as assigned by the Store Manager

• Strong organizational skills and time management skills
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs independently
• Must be comfortable working in coolers and freezers for extended periods
• Strong customer service skills are required
• Ability to work independently and part of a team
• Basic math and computer skills are required
• Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the store

Experience Receiving in a grocery environment is an asset
