Our contract at Brize Norton with the MOD states we will provide a continuous service to cover 24 hours, 7 days a week and 365 days a year to the Royal Air Force, to maintain and ensure airworthiness of their fleet of aircraft. We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our dynamic logistics team. In this critical role, you will be the gatekeeper for our quality standards, ensuring every component meets the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry before it enters our Part 145 stores. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will have ultimate responsibility for the end-to-end quality inspection of all materials. Your diligence will guarantee that only fully compliant parts enter our supply chain and reach the end-user, directly contributing to our reputation for safety and excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Conducting detailed receipt and evaluation inspections of complex aerospace components and assemblies against technical drawings and pre-set inspection plans
Ensuring strict compliance with all internal quality procedures, airworthiness control plans, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements
Applying your aerospace expertise to verify that all products conform to MAA/FAA/EASA Part 145 specifications and other industry standards (ATLAS, CASA…)
Maintaining and verifying meticulous records for material batch and manufacturer traceability
Issuing and managing Discrepancy Reports (DRs) and Non-Conformances (NCRs), and actively assisting in the resolution of supplier quality issues
Serving as a key representative for the Quality department in internal meetings, working committees, and modification programs
Requirements:
Must have or be able to obtain security clearance eligibility to access UK Ministry of Defence establishments, working within ITAR and Export Control restrictions
Deep understanding of aviation regulations, particularly EASA Part 145, and quality standards like AS9100
Skilled in documenting inspections, managing material traceability, completing Certificates of Conformity (CofC) and processing non-conforming parts
Possesses exceptional attention to detail, unwavering integrity, and clear communication skills to collaborate with technical and logistics teams
The ability to accurately read, interpret, and follow complex technical documentation, including engineering drawings (blueprints), inspection plans, technical specifications, and international standards
Meticulous record-keeping skills, with experience in completing inspection reports
Experience in identifying, documenting, and processing non-conforming products using Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) or Discrepancy Reports (DRs)
A thorough understanding of how to maintain and verify material batch and manufacturer traceability
Knowledge of industry best practices for preventing Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and identifying suspected unapproved or counterfeit parts
