The Real Estate Strategy & Reporting Intern will report to the Manager of Real Estate Strategy & Reporting. This role is designed for a highly motivated, analytical self-starter who is excited to learn how data, analytics, and strategy shape real estate investment decisions at a global scale. This position will contribute to meaningful, hands-on project work that supports portfolio strategy, site selection analytics, and executive reporting. This role offers exposure to cross-functional partners across Real Estate, Finance, Construction, Property Management and Operations, and provides the opportunity to turn complex datasets into insights that inform real business decisions.
Job Responsibility:
Support real estate strategy and analytics projects through research, data development, and financial or pro forma modeling
Build, validate, and maintain store-level datasets used for analytics and reporting, including location attributes (latitude/longitude,) square footage, opening dates, and other key site characteristics
Contribute to ad-hoc analyses by leveraging store performance data, financial metrics, and market-level insights to support strategic decision-making
Assist in documenting processes, methodologies, and best practices related to real estate analytics and reporting
Support team members with coordination of communications, organization of analytical outputs, and maintenance of shared data and tools
Collaborate cross-functionally and participate in meetings to gain exposure to how analytics informs broader business strategy
Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and work with large datasets
Working knowledge of data analysis concepts and comfort learning new tools or methodologies
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data organization techniques
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with the ability to communicate insights clearly and concisely
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a desire to learn how to “tell the story” behind the data
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Availability to work 16–20 hours per week during the academic semester and up to 40 hours per week during school breaks
Must be able to work in the Charlotte office

Major or coursework in business, analytics, geography, finance, real estate, economics, or a related field
Experience working with SharePoint or other document management tools
Exposure to Power BI, Alteryx, GIS systems, or location-based analytics tools (e.g., Google Earth)
Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn how analytics supports real estate and corporate strategy
