We are looking for a skilled Real Estate Settlement Attorney to join our client's dynamic team in the Washington-DC area. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in real estate transactions to ensure smooth closings, resolve contract disputes, and build lasting relationships with clients and referral partners. Job Responsibility:

  • Handle real estate contracts and associated documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Provide guidance to realtors and clients to address and resolve contract disputes during pre-closing and post-closing phases
  • Conduct thorough quality control reviews of closing documents to maintain legal and procedural integrity
  • Facilitate real estate closings both in-office and remotely, ensuring a seamless process
  • Support business development initiatives by nurturing client relationships and expanding referral networks
  • Identify and implement improvements to transactional processes to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with lenders, realtors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective and timely communication
  • Stay informed about local and state real estate laws, title insurance practices, and settlement procedures
  • Manage multiple transactions and deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction
  • At least two years of experience managing real estate closings and settlements independently
  • Strong ability to interpret and resolve complex legal and transactional issues efficiently
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client and referral relationships
