Job Description:

The Real Estate Risk Grg Manager, reporting to the Director of Collateral Risk, is responsible for the direct supervision of the Review Managers and QA Audit Reviewers. Collateral Risk Management function for US Mortgage is responsible for appraisal review for all US residential real estate, appraisal independence, appraisal bias, and appraisal management company/appraiser quality. In addition, the Real Estate Risk Grg Manager is responsible for the maintenance and ongoing review of the appraiser watchlist.

Job Responsibility:

Direct supervision of Review Managers and QA Audit Reviewers
Collateral Risk Management function for US Mortgage
Appraisal review for all US residential real estate
Appraisal independence, appraisal bias, and appraisal management company/appraiser quality
Maintenance and ongoing review of the appraiser watchlist
Ensuring valuations for mortgage complies with all regulations and global policies
Management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas
Leads and directs a team of professionals
Performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations

Requirements:

10+ years previous experience in risk required
Possess complex and diverse knowledge of financial services
Excellent ability to communicate and influence in a cross functional environment
Knowledgeable about risk systems infrastructure including key processes, coverage and data flows
Knowledgeable about different markets, products, strategies, analytical tools, financial and risk databases
Real estate knowledge or experience
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Argus
Database management experience
Comprehensive understanding of applicable industry regulations and standards (i.e., USPAP, FIRREA, ASTM)
Bachelor's/University degree
Master's degree preferred
