Job Description:

Silk Title Co. provides title insurance, search and settlement services across the nation to the top institutional banks and independent mortgage lenders. Additionally, we also provide services for foreclosure, default, REO, and traditional real estate transactions. Title isn’t sexy, but it’s critical. Our business is not to fill orders. Instead, we are constantly working to improve the process to give our clients and their borrowers a great experience at closing.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare closing statements and other documents necessary for closing real estate transactions
  • Secure all documents, demands, and taxes needed to complete the closing
  • Communicate and coordinate with lenders, realtors, attorneys, and borrowers to ensure a successful closing
  • Review signed closing documents to ensure they are accurate and complete
  • Collaborate with other departments and personnel to resolve title and curative issues
  • Answer emails and phone calls to assist clients and customers with closing related questions
  • Ensure all disbursements are paid and delivered correctly
  • Employee will be responsible Quality Assurance and Multiple reporting functions
  • Employee should be a problem solver and be able to effectively communicate
  • Must be organized, efficient and have computer knowledge
  • Participates in other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Paralegal studies
  • Strong research and report generating skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and general computer use
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening
  • Service-oriented and able to resolve customer concerns
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

Previous experience in title review, curative and/or mortgage or title industry a plus
