Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented and business-minded Paralegal to support its lending platform and expanding legal function. This role will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer and broader business team to facilitate lending transactions. The ideal candidate will bring experience supporting commercial lending and/or real estate transactions, with a strong ability to manage documentation, coordinate closings, and support high-volume deal flow in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with all phases of commercial lending transactions, from origination through closing and post-closing
  • Draft, review, and manage loan documents, including promissory notes, security agreements, guarantees, and related transactional materials
  • Prepare and maintain closing checklists, deal trackers, and transaction files
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, borrowers, outside counsel, title companies, and lenders to ensure smooth closings
  • Support funding and disbursement processes and track satisfaction of closing conditions
  • Conduct and review due diligence materials, including title, survey, UCC, and lien searches
  • Assist with documentation relating to collateral, security interests, and property-related assets
  • Identify and escalate potential issues in documentation, title, or structure
  • Maintain and update standard form loan documents, templates, and internal procedures
  • Prepare and file UCC financing statements, amendments, and related filings
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, lender requirements, and regulatory frameworks
  • Organize and manage electronic and physical deal files throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Coordinate post-closing deliverables, including filing, recording, and final closing binders
  • Track ongoing obligations, including reporting requirements and covenant compliance
  • Support servicing or restructuring activities, as needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of real estate and/or lending experience
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong loan documentation and closing familiarity
