The Real Estate function secures new and maintains existing physical locations in order to meet the needs of the many people. We provide strategic insight based on our knowledge and understanding of the real estate portfolio at IKEA. We take the lead in delivering safe, compliant, sustainable, and innovative property solutions – with Democratic design and life cycle cost on top of our mind. As the Real Estate Operations Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our real estate function, supporting the Country Real Estate Organisation towards optimal business performance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepares and monitors the execution of Country and unit Real Estate annual financial plans (functional line budget, CapEx and OpEx)
  • Ensures seamless coordination of the year cycle by aligning it with other company processes, validating output quality, and guiding functions in executing their responsibilities
  • Collaborates with Country CFOs for real estate financial planning and forecasting, acting as the Country Admin for CapEx and OpEx tools
  • Manages and monitors real estate goal setting and performance tracking processes while ensuring data quality for performance metrics
  • Adapts and supports the execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SoP) to maintain effective internal control management
  • Prepares and documents the implementation and maintenance of local Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Creates an environment where the IKEA culture and values are a strong and living reality, sharing entrepreneurial ideas and identifying opportunities for improvement

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex business processes, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver results in a dynamic environment
  • Qualification in engineering, finance, business administration, or equivalent field
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English, both written and verbal
  • High level of expertise in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in operations, business navigation, financial planning, or real estate support functions
