Beacon Hill Legal’s client, a boutique law firm in Manhattan, is seeking a NY Barred Real Estate Litigation Attorney for a temporary-to-hire opportunity. Candidates must have 3+ years of handling landlord/tenant and residential real estate disputes. Candidates must be comfortable working remotely and within commuting distance of Manhattan for court appearances. Pay rate is dependent on experience and starts at $60/hr.
Job Responsibility:
Manage all phases of real estate litigation, from case inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
Handle landlord-tenant disputes, including lease enforcement, evictions, and related claims
Represent clients in real estate sales contract disputes, including breach of contract and transactional conflicts
Litigate real estate broker commission disputes
Resolve ownership, title, and deed disputes
Manage construction and development litigation matters, including contractor and developer conflicts
Handle condominium and cooperative-related disputes, including: Shareholder disputes
Common charge collection matters
Sponsor-related litigation
Breach of contract claims
Construction, management, and repair issues
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Ability to work remotely and reside within commuting distance of Manhattan for court appearances.
Active and in good standing to practice law in NY
3+ years of experience in real estate litigation handling landlord-tenant law and construction-related disputes
