Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Real Estate Lending Operations specialist to support long-term growth initiatives within our consumer lending team in Sunnyvale, California. This Long-term Contract position focuses on expanding referral networks, strengthening community presence, and helping increase awareness of mortgage and home equity solutions. The role combines relationship-building, market outreach, and operational support to help generate lending opportunities and maintain a healthy loan pipeline.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and nurture partnerships with real estate agents, builders, and other industry contacts to create new lending opportunities
  • Visit partner offices and local industry organizations regularly to build visibility and maintain strong business relationships
  • Identify prospective referral sources and contribute to initiatives that increase mortgage and home equity loan volume
  • Represent the organization at community events, open houses, and industry gatherings to promote lending services and strengthen market presence
  • Coordinate and participate in joint events, educational sessions, and outreach programs with external partners
  • Lead presentations, webinars, and informational trainings for partners, members, and internal staff on available lending products and services
  • Work closely with branch teams, marketing, and business development partners to support outreach campaigns, referral strategies, and product awareness efforts
  • Review market activity and competitor developments to share insights that inform business strategy and product positioning
  • Track referral activity, partner engagement, pipeline progress, and other performance indicators to support reporting and planning
  • Assist the Real Estate Lending team with early-stage borrower interactions and other operational lending support as needed

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in real estate lending, including exposure to processing, underwriting, and business development activities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Mortgage Loan Originator registration required upon appointment
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage products, loan administration, loan origination, mortgage processing, mortgage closing, and lending workflows
  • Solid understanding of lending policies, regulatory requirements, and secondary market or Fannie Mae guidelines
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships, deliver presentations, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated skill in managing multiple priorities, coordinating events or outreach efforts, and identifying growth opportunities through market analysis
  • Ability to travel locally and attend meetings or events during early mornings, evenings, or weekends when needed
