Job Description:

The Real Estate Lending Executive will report to the Head of Market Coverage within Commercial Banking. This individual will set the vision and strategic direction for the underwriting and portfolio management function across the investment real estate segment for companies with portfolios ranging in size from $25 million to $2 billion, ensuring development and implementation of strategies that optimize risk assessment and portfolio performance while supporting business growth. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial real estate lending, evaluating credit risk across traditional and complex financing arrangements, market dynamics, financial analysis, and risk management principles.

Job Responsibility:

Develop vision and set direction for underwriting and portfolio management strategies
Provide thought leadership and direction to enhance underwriting frameworks
Drive the partnership across all Commercial Banking Cash Flow and Product Lending executives
Oversee the underwriting process
Lead a team of managers and senior professionals
Review and approve traditional and complex capital structures
Collaborate with the relationship management organization
Monitor portfolio performance
Prepare and present regular reports on underwriting performance
Identify and implement process simplification opportunities
Manage financial resources
Develop and guide a high performing culture

Requirements:

8+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience
8+ years of commercial real estate lending, credit underwriting
4+ years of management experience

Nice to have:

Experience in commercial real estate lending inclusive of non-recourse loan structuring
