As the Development Intern as part of the NY Affordable team, you will work on new construction affordable projects in the NYC area. Our summer interns are expected to work independently and collectively, as part of a team.
Job Responsibility:
Collecting due diligence materials
Reviewing legal documents including commercial leases & LOIs
Financial analysis of a project or property
Coordinating meetings and project teams
Assisting with Request for Proposal (RFP) responses
Assisting with community planning efforts, and the development and facilitation of outreach activities
Site visits and market analysis
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older college student
Pursuing graduate degree in real estate, finance, urban planning, architecture, or similar field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written & verbal), must be comfortable speaking and interacting directly with the public
Strong interest in community building with an understanding of complex systems and structures that promote social and economic equity
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
An understanding of real estate finance is required
Nice to have:
Real Estate Development majors a plus
