We are looking for an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone with extensive legal expertise in real estate transactions and civil litigation who is detail oriented. The role requires a proactive individual who can effectively handle complex matters, provide strategic advice, and ensure compliance with legal standards.
Job Responsibility:
Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, lease contracts, loan documents, and other related transactional documents
Conduct and oversee corporate document reviews and due diligence processes for real estate transactions
Provide strategic guidance on deal structures, risk mitigation, and acquisition or disposition strategies
Manage depositions and other legal proceedings related to real estate litigation
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to address legal concerns and ensure smooth transaction processes
Analyze and interpret commercial real estate laws to ensure compliance and protect client interests
Handle acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing matters with attention to detail and legal precision
Develop and present legal briefs, motions, and discovery documents for litigation purposes
Ensure proper documentation and legal accuracy in all real estate deals
Advise clients on complex legal issues related to corporate and private real estate matters
Requirements:
Must have 5+ years of legal experience in real estate law and related fields
Licensed attorney with a strong background in civil litigation and transactional work
Proficient in drafting motions, briefs, and discovery documents
Expertise in real estate acquisitions, leases, and commercial transactions
Solid understanding of corporate and private real estate laws
Demonstrated ability to manage depositions and oversee due diligence processes
Skilled in negotiating and structuring complex real estate deals
Strong analytical and communication skills to provide effective legal advisement
