We are looking for an experienced attorney with expertise in commercial real estate to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely while managing complex legal matters related to property acquisition, financing, development, leasing, and sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in representing borrowers and lenders during real estate financing transactions.
Job Responsibility:
Draft and negotiate legal agreements, including purchase and sale contracts, leases, and loan documents
Provide expert legal advice on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, development, financing, leasing, and dispositions
Represent clients in real estate financing transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Review and analyze complex legal documents to identify risks and opportunities
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to structure and close real estate deals
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored legal solutions
Manage legal aspects of development-related agreements, ensuring all terms align with client objectives
Conduct thorough legal research to support decision-making and strategy development
Ensure all documentation and processes adhere to local, state, and federal regulations
Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments to provide informed counsel
Requirements:
5+ years' experience in commercial real estate transactions
Competence in negotiation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active bar membership in one or more of the following jurisdictions: Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, or Ohio
