Job Description:

Vertu Motors is one of the largest automotive retailer groups throughout the UK and currently have over 190 sites which come under Vertu Motors. We are currently looking for a very talented Reactive Maintenance Assistant and team lead to join our property team based at Vertu house, with experience in commercial property maintenance. Ideally working Full Time, Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm with 1 hr for lunch, for an exceptional candidate we would consider a part time role. The purpose of this role is to provide excellent service to our extensive portfolio of dealerships around the UK by following the maintenance process in accordance with our property policy.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process maintenance jobs logged by dealership colleagues
  • Appoint contractors to attend to property issues
  • Liaising with contractors and dealership colleagues
  • Process invoices for completed works
  • Be integral part of property maintenance team
  • Participate in 'on call' phone rota
  • Participate in monthly meetings as requested

Requirements:

  • Understanding of commercial properties and maintenance essential
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a quick-paced environment
  • Time management skills essential
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to handle challenging situations
  • Ability to problem solve, maintain high standards and hold contractors accountable
  • Team player
  • Working knowledge of H&S at work
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and other office based systems
