Job Description:

We have an urgent opening for an experienced and certified High Reach Operator to start right away. The successful candidate will join our client in a busy distribution company in South Surrey, and will be responsible for operating a high reach forklift within a cold storage freezer environment. This is a fast-paced role that requires a high degree of skill, safety-consciousness, and reliability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Safely and efficiently operate a high reach forklift (narrow-aisle reach truck) to move, locate, relocate, and stack products
  • Perform order picking, put-away, and replenishment of palletized goods in a high-bay racking system
  • Work consistently and comfortably in a freezer environment maintained at -18°C
  • Use an RF (Radio Frequency) scanner to accurately track inventory and complete orders
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections of the equipment and report any issues immediately
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including specific protocols for cold environments
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and able to commit to full-time hours
  • Candidates with access to a vehicle are preferred, as public transit can be challenging
  • Must possess a valid certification for Reach Truck (Class 2)
  • A minimum of 1 year of recent, hands-on experience operating a high reach truck is required
  • Must be able and comfortable working for the entire shift in a freezer at -18 degrees Celsius
  • Must be able to start work immediately
  • Must own a pair of CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent safety record, and a reliable work ethic
