Job Description:

Situated at the Brisbane City Council Tip Shop you will be working within the Treasure Trove Reuse Shop run by Endeavour Foundation located in Acacia Ridge. Internally this role is known as Recycling Attendant will be working within the retail shop of second-hand goods and items.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparing the retail shop during the week by unloading the truck of new items to be placed within the retail store
  • Physical abilities to lift heavy furniture items of 15KGs +
  • Customer Service – greeting the public and assisting with their loads to donate
  • Packaging up items for donations and stacking the Endeavour Truck for the reuse shop
  • Comfortable with physical work, repetitive bending to ground level and moving of furniture
  • Setting up visual merchandise displays for new items to sell

Requirements:

  • Reliable
  • Physically fit to be on feet all day
  • Availability to work from 6.30am to 2.30pm Thursday and Friday and every second weekend from 7.30am to 4.30pm
  • Prior retail or warehousing background
  • Superb customer service, communication, and excellent time management
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, but with high levels of respect for others
  • Willing to obtain a current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), and obtain a ‘Fit 2 Work’ National Police Check, and Australian Drivers Licence
