This is a full-time, long-term role starting ASAP perfect for a specialist who can deliver high-impact lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and teach engaging R.E. lessons that cover major world religions, philosophy of religion, and applied ethics
Facilitate safe, inclusive classroom discussions
Prepare GCSE and A-Level cohorts for their assessments
Support the school's SMSC provision
Create modern, multimedia resources
Use detailed marking and feedback to help students refine their essay-writing skills
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field
Strong grasp of the National Curriculum
Ideally a driver with own transport
Ability to make philosophical concepts accessible
Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one through Randstad)
