Job Description

To support their expansion, they are seeking an experienced accounting and reporting professional to strengthen their Corporate Accounting team.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the monthly and quarterly close and perform accounting activities related to the newly established insurance carrier under both Belgian accounting principles and IFRS
  • Provide accounting support to the reinsurance and general accounting teams
  • Produce statutory accounts and regulatory filing under Belgian GAAP
  • Prepare IFRS reporting packages for Group consolidation and deliver management reporting with supporting commentary

Requirements

  • Academic degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Sciences
  • 5+ years’ experience in accounting or audit, preferably in the financial services industry or a large corporate
  • Good command of Belgian accounting standards and IFRS
  • Experience with mainstream ERPs and reporting tools

Nice to have

  • Experience in insurance/reinsurance is a plus
  • Exposure to IFRS17 is an asset
  • Knowledge of NetSuite, SAP or OneStream are a plus
  • Dutch or French are a plus
