Job Description

This role is accountable for independently managing the respiratory needs and care of complex medical patients in their home setting. Using the knowledge of pathophysiology, in collaboration with other disciplines, the incumbent will develop, implement, and revise an appropriate interdisciplinary family-centered plan of care, including the use of medical instrumentation. Using clinical judgment the individual will impliment the plan of care and asses and manage the need for appropriate education related to at-home respiratory care that best meets learning needs of the patient and family. Will takes part in the On Call schedule and coordinate after hours care.

Job Responsibility

Requirements

  • College Degree - 2 year (required)
  • Program AMA approved respiratory care program (required)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
  • RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner License - RCB - Respiratory Care Board of California (required)
  • RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist - NBRC - National Board for Respiratory Care (required)
  • California Drivers License - Other With an acceptable driving record (required)
  • Car Insurance - Other Coverage with minimum limits as required by state law. (required)
  • Demonstrates basic mathematical calculation skills and understanding of age/cultural principles.
  • Bilingual Skills Preferred.
