This position is responsible for providing operational support to combat aircrew flying and training in 4th and 5th generation fighter aircraft in the European theater of operations. The position is expected to contribute at Subject Matter Expert level to enhance and advance the combat training during local training missions and training deployments. Selected candidates will coordinate efforts with USAFE aircrews and Air Combat Training Pod technical engineers to ensure mission data is compatible with mission requirements. Most importantly, the position will facilitate combat training by providing real-time kill removal to increase realism of air-to-air sorties and will train aircrews to perform as RTOs and scribes on ICADS systems and sub-systems.
Job Responsibility
Interface with Government representatives for site specific support issues, including scheduling, planning, and exercise coordination
Attend scheduling meetings and conferences
Develop/Manage/Distribute Exercise and Mission Planning documents such as Air Order Directive, Air Tasking Order, and Special Instructions
Create/Identify/Track Desired Learning Objectives for each exercise and nominate mission sets/targets
Coordinate with intelligence squadron to schedule threat RTOs
Perform RTO duties including air-to-air and surface-to-air scenarios
Create Live/Constructive scenarios and monitor scenario progression
Provide debrief information regarding threats and RTO results
Routinely update RTO materials and procedures
Coordinate with off-site units for operations support and debrief coordination
Travel to other locations for short duration for regional exercises and/or subject matter expert support
Assist with development of daily, weekly, and monthly schedules
Five (5) years of verifiable leadership experience
Rated mission expertise as Aircraft Commander or Weapons System Officer in fighter aircraft or have relevant Air Battle Manager/Weapons Director expertise (F-15/F-16/F-18 highly desired)
Must meet the eligibility for a Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance IAW Director Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) 1/14
Must be capable of working full-time 40 hours per week

Must possess valid driver's license
Must be willing to travel in support of ACTS contract obligations
Conversant with AFI 11-202V3, AFI 11-214, AFI 11-2MDS, AFMAN 13-212
Fluent in technical aircraft and electronic terminology
Competent and proficient in preparing and presenting written and oral presentations and reports
