Job Description

Working as part of the Range & Space Initiatives team, the Range & Space Analytics Manager leads and empowers a team of analysts, driving the strategic application of data-driven insights to shape customer shopping experiences and optimise retail space for maximum commercial impact.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the team in conducting structured analysis and problem-solving to identify strategic opportunities, ensuring comprehensive consideration of store specifics, customer behavior, market trends, category performance, and pricing dynamics to drive the foundational insights for our range and space strategies
  • Triage and manage the team's data analysis, insight generation, and the formulation of actionable recommendations that decisively shape our range and space strategies
  • Champion the extraction, analysis, and interpretation of complex data from diverse databases (including SAP, Blue Yonder, Shopper Intelligence, Quantium, Buying Insights, and GCP environments). This ensures the team consistently generates robust, actionable insights and recommendations directly aligned with strategic objectives
  • Oversee the strategic application of advanced analytics within range and space tools, guiding the team to develop recommendations that not only enhance customer experience but also consistently maximize commercial and strategic outcomes
  • Proactively identify and champion opportunities for continuous improvement, fostering a culture of innovation within the team that drives sustained customer satisfaction and commercial success through advanced space optimization

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in relevant roles (eg: Deployment manager, Senior Team Lead, Senior Analyst, Business Manager)
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related subject or equal professional experience
  • Understands the FMCG / retail industry and commercial processes of Woolworths and Suppliers
  • Advanced understanding of Google & Microsoft systems
  • Proven record of leading, building and developing high performing teams across multiple levels
  • Experience in team leadership in coaching, empowerment, training and ability to influence teams to land meaningful change
