Job Description

We are looking for an experienced RAN Engineering Specialist to join our team for a 12-month contract. This role focuses on optimizing mobile radio access networks and driving process improvements through automation and data analysis.

Job Responsibility

  • Analyze the complex interactions between coverage and capacity within the mobile radio access network
  • Implement best practices for coverage management and develop new methodologies to improve efficiency
  • Identify operational blockers and provide actionable improvement plans and solutions
  • Utilize an automation-first mindset to reduce delivery times
  • Present analytical findings clearly in both written and verbal formats

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the radio planning space
  • Strong proficiency in radio planning tools, specifically ATOLL (with a focus on Automatic Cell Planning)
  • Experience in PCI/RSI planning and mobile Radio antenna configurations
  • Coverage modelling expertise across all technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G)
  • Experience with propagation model ITU-528-3
  • Experience using visualization tools such as QGIS or ARCGIS for complex data elaboration
  • Proficiency in coding (e.g., Python) and GIS data analysis skills
  • Experience with Radio network compliance, including ICNIRP and GA drawings

  • Performance optimization: advanced KPI analysis, RF tuning / neighbor-list tuning / load balancing / capacity management / throughput, mobility improvements, and ensuring overall network quality
  • Documentation & customer-facing responsibilities: preparing technical reports, customer-ready output (status reports, governance meetings), handling customer complaints/issues, communicating with stakeholders
  • Leadership, coordination, and process adherence: mentoring juniors, working shifts or on-call, coordinating field & vendor teams & multiple stakeholders, managing change requests properly
