Are you looking for a new and exciting role? Join our team at Gatwick Airport as a Ramp Agent. You will be working as a member of the Passengers Services team, you will drive the company's ambi-lifts or minibuses on the airfield to the aircraft to transfer passengers with reduced mobility or from the aircraft to the terminal building or from the terminal building to the aircraft.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver or collect the special assistance passengers at the aircraft door and assist with the transfer into their seat or wheelchair through safe manual handling techniques. Being professional, polite and courteous at all times
Carry out Customer Car Agent (CCA) duties as directed by Movement Control. Escorting arriving and departing special assistance passengers (along with accompanying family as necessary) through the airport either on foot, by wheelchair or electric buggy as depicted by their ticket categorisation
Providing assistance with baggage
Ensuring that wheelchairs and buggies are always clean and tidy
Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed legibly and submitted in a timely manner
Any additional reasonable duties as assigned by operational management
Requirements:
Previous experience in a customer service/ customer care environment
Excellent communication skills with an empathic nature
Demonstrate excellent customer service
Basic IT Skills
Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary
Full Driving licence is essential with categories C & D (Licence must have been held for 2 years)
You must be aged 23 and over for insurance purposes
You must be able to obtain and airside driving permit (Including passing a driving medical with a colour-blind test)
Nice to have:
Experience of driving a 7.5t vehicle or working at heights would be an advantage
Previous Airline &/or Airport experience is desired although not essential as full training will be provided
