Job Description:

This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected of the incumbent. It is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of the incumbent. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties.

Job Responsibility:

  • Demonstrates the appropriate operation of all radiographic equipment
  • Accountable for the production of quality radiographs
  • Demonstrates safety in all areas
  • Ensures all appropriate information is present before radiographs are performed
  • Completes all data entries in the radiology and hospital information system
  • Participates in efforts to monitor and improve departmental CQI indicators
  • Serves as a patient advocate
  • Provides education to all patients before, during and after exams
  • Maintains a positive relationship with all customers
  • Reviews patient satisfaction data and participates in improving areas of concern
  • Utilizes appropriate resources to resolve patient issues
  • Address and resolve customer complaints
  • Ensure on-time completion of your performance pathway
  • Participates quarterly in the TNT associate satisfaction survey
  • Assess own learning needs, seeks appropriate training and development
  • Sets own learning goals
  • Development of a learning plan and documenting your progress on a learning log
  • Maintains a program to complete required training hours per quarter
  • Submits Dynamite ideas to your leader
  • Participates in hospitalwide or departmental DIG each year
  • Implement Just-Do-It initiatives in your department during the year
  • Participates in hospitalwide TNT-related activities
  • Participates in departmental recognition and socialization activities
  • Attends all departmental staff meetings
  • Participates in efforts to improve productivity in your department
  • Submits ideas for improving productivity in your department
  • Participates in efforts to contain costs or generate revenue in your department
  • Submits ideas for reducing expenses or adding revenue

Requirements:

  • ARRT Registry eligible
  • I.D.N.S. License (current)
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology School
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to work rotating shifts any day of the week
  • Ability to stand, bend and/or stoop for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions & in difficult situations
