Job Description:

Radiology Technologist - Full-time position at AMG Chicago Imani Village - Radiology. Works both 1st and 2nd shift (8:00AM-10:00PM), every other Saturday (8:00AM-4:30PM), and rotating holidays.

Job Responsibility:

  • Determination of appropriate radiological technique and position for patient using immobilization and support devices
  • Operation of advanced and sophisticated radiology equipment
  • Adherence to all accepted safety standards and practices to ensure patient safety and quality patient care
  • Coordination of quality control tasks
  • Provision of instruction and orientation to new technologists to effectively participate in the assessment of their performance reviews

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology
  • IDNS license
  • 1-3 years experience as a general radiographer
  • Knowledge of Health Information System
  • Basic knowledge of radiology equipment
  • Certified in radiology and registered by ARRT
  • CPR certification
  • Licensed by IDNS
  • Able to make independent professional decisions pertaining to high quality patient care
  • High degree of technical skills
  • Must be able to function with minimal assistance in performing job activities
  • Ability to deal with extremely ill patients
  • Ability to lift and/or move patients
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions, in difficult situations
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases
  • Ability to work rotating shifts during Centers hours of operation
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
